The external GPRS antenna
For the installation of the SaFly onboard the aircraft, it's extremely important that the GPRS antenna is positioned in a place free from shielding. This helps the usage of the ground network for the longest time possibl. The best position for such antenna is under the fuselage.
For this type of installation we offer an adhesive antenna, especially conceived for the aeronautical use, where the minimum aerodynamic drag is an important aspect to consider: the antenna is very thin and can be connected to the SaFly unit via a 3 mm cable, that can be of different lengths, depending on customer needs.
Dimensions:
length: 106 mm
width: 15 mm
thickness: 5 mm
The antenna is completely waterproof (IP65) and the weight is 40 gr.

The insurances
As an owner of a SaFly system you can access the exclusive emergency services and insurances offered by GEOS Alliance, the world leader in services that encompass security, safety and reliable communications for all travelers, to assist and protect you in case of problems during your sporting flight activity. These services are available only to those who own a SaFly emergency and tracking system, and the extremely attractive prices are an exclusive advantage for the DSX customers.
The new owner of a SaFly system can choose among the following services.
Some of them can be subscribed at the promotional price displayed only at the moment of activation of the SaFly.
The Emergency Monitoring Service is alerted when the SaFly is set to the emergency mode, following a manual activation by the pilot or an automatic activation by the accelerometers module: a distress signal is channelled from the SaFly to the GEOS International Emergency Response Co-Ordination Center (IERCC), which takes immediate action to contact the pilot and alert the Search and Rescue center closest to his geographical location, transmitted by the SaFly.

The Search and Rescue Insurance is a special policy meant to cover all necessary SAR expenses, including by helicopter.

The new MediVac insurance is meant to take care of the injured pilot locally, by taking him to a medical facility and then bringing him back home, with all the necessary cares and support, arranging for a dedicated mean of transportation, if necessary, with high value covered.
Note: the MediVac insurance perfectly fits also the Paraglider and Hang Glider pilots requirements.

GEOS Alliance is providing these exceptional services to the SaFly customers for a special price, with up to 80% savings compared to other schemes providing similar benefits: they are the best for the pilot's protection in case of accident.
